Welcome to the Project Startup Status and Tools (PSST) Training Site
This site will help you to understand the PSST tool and give some examples of how it might be used.
PSST is a web based application for browsing and entering information about the different projects we are all working on here at DoIT. The purpose of the tool is to become a central database for supervisors, project managers and project team members to define and track the progress of their projects. It is also a way for supervisors to get a 20,000 foot view of the status of their group's projects, complete with up-to-date status reports via email or RSS.
Topics and Navigation
There are three areas of PSST we will work with: Finding existing projects, Adding and Editing Projects and Subscribing to project updates. These topics can be accessed by clicking the three buttons on the top of the page that look like this:
Once you have clicked one of these buttons, the left side of the screen will display the sub-topic list and examples. You can also move through the content using the next and back links on each page.
If you ever feel lost or just want to look up a topic, use the search tool on the upper right of the screen.
